RVS International School, Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh very fondly remembered the world renowned American astronaut Neil Armstrong. The Sunflower House students narrated in the special assembly that an astronautical engineer by profession, Armstrong became the first ever human to land on the surface of the moon on 20th July 1969 making this day a historic one. The UN gracefully declared in its resolution that every year this day will be observed as moon day as a mark of gratitude to the acclaimed astronaut. Soon after descending a ladder on the surface of the moon, he said “That is one small step for man. One giant leap for mankind”. He was soon followed by Edwin Aldrin the proud pilot of Apollo 11 spaceflight.
